The award is given to support “a new generation of scientists who will tackle important and ambitious challenges in biomedicine, work in collaborative, multi-disciplinary environments and become scientific leaders who dramatically advance the understanding of biology and disease.

Moran was one of only two young scientists to be awarded the Broad-Israeli Science Foundation Fellowship, a prestigious three year postdoctoral fellowship awarded to Israeli nationals to perform their scientific work at the Broad Institute. This grant will support our work on kidney disease and novel therapeutics.

On June 19, 2014, Dr. Francis Collins and the NIH Office of the Director hosted a symposium to commemorate 10 years of achievement by the NIH Roadmap/NIH Common Fund. The Greka Lab was featured in the Commemorative Book for our discovery that a Molecular Libraries compound, ML204, may offer hope as the first ion channel targeted therapy for proteinuric kidney disease.
